Arko Custom supports Kate's Club, the Boys and Girls Club of Union City, as well as the Habitat for Humanity of Union City. We would also like to thank the League of Hope, Peter Pearce, and Vivid Marketing for its relief efforts to the people of Haiti.

January 29, 2010 Atlanta, GA - Vivid Marketing has assisted relief organization League of Hope by shipping shelter-specific items, food, clothing and toys to Haitian refugees and their families devastated by the January 12th Port-au-Prince earthquake.

Vivid's Vice President of Marketing, Peter Pearce, received a call Wednesday, January 27th, from his brother-in-law David Lee, CEO of Airshares Elite. David and his team have been working with League of Hope, a relief organization, to get supplies airdropped to remote communities and villages outside of Port-au-Prince that are completely cut off from aid. David shared with Peter first-hand the on-the-ground work being done, and League of Hope's continuous need for shelter supplies. David also requested that any help from Vivid, our clients and vendor partners would be appreciated. Another drop was being scheduled for January 30th-31st, and supplies would need to be in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for plane load-in as soon as possible.

Peter contacted Todd Morris in Vivid's operations and fleet department, who then rallied a review of appropriate goods. Todd secured transportation for items identified through partner Airgroup, who generously coordinated the ground delivery to Florida. Vivid's operations staff spent Thursday, January 28th, gathering and palletizing tent frames, tents, mats, zip ties, tarps, blankets and other shelter-specific items, as well as t-shirts, shoes, sunscreen, towels, food products, plastic plates and even toys such as mini footballs for Haiti's children.

At 6:00 AM on February 2nd, less than 48 hours after David Lee's call to Peter Pearce, seven pallets of supplies were en route to Fort Lauderdale. All of us at Vivid thank our staff, our clients, and our vendor partners who donated either specific goods or personal time to this effort: Arko Custom, Academy Sports, Airgroup, Colorspot, ConAgra Foods, Kimberly-Clark, Lane, Pepsi-Cola, Spike, Sports Illustrated, and Toyota.
